Hurricane Michael made landfall Wednesday, 10 October as the third most powerful hurricane to ever strike the U.S. mainland. More than 900,000 homes and businesses in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas were without power, and many homes were ripped apart or washed away.
The Board of General Superintendents appointed José E. David Balcázar Medina as the new Peru Central District superintendent after the previous superintendent, Josue Fenco, passed away suddenly.
A community outreach initiative in Correia Pinto, Brazil, lead to nine people accepting Christ. Now, the local Nazarene church is leading a weekly discipleship group with their new Christian neighbors.

Hurricane Florence hit the U.S. less than a day before Typhoon Mangkhut hit the Philippines. Both storms are massive in scale, affecting millions of people in the two areas. The Church of the Nazarene is already responding thanks to disaster response teams that were in position before the storms even hit.
Eugénio R. Duarte delivered the annual Board of General Superintendents' Report during the 95th Session of the General Board 25 February in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
